The Itinerant Geographer 2000

Return to People and History

The Itinerant Geographer 2000 is a tribute to Berkeley Geography's Centennial. In 1998, Berkeley Geography celebrated its 100th year and is recognized as the English-speaking world's oldest geography program. This issue of the Itinerant Geographer is over 250 pages of updated biographies of Berkeley Geographers, some interesting history, and a memorial page to Bernard Q. Nietschmann. In the back of the book are two maps showing when and where in the world all of Berkeley Geography's Masters Theses and Doctoral Dissertations through 1999 were researched.
