Gray Brechin has extensive experience giving slide shows to academic and general audiences, as well as consultant and talking head for TV documentaries. He is the author of Farewell, Promised Land (with Robert Dawson) and Imperial San Francisco: Urban Power, Earthy Ruin (both UC Press).
