Public Projects:

  • Project director. "Storefront LIVE: Korean American Small Businesses", a multidisciplinary exhibition which includes ethnographic interviews, artwork, storefront installations. Exhibit will travel to Los Angeles, Denver, Chicago, Washington, D.C., and New York City. August 1997-present.
  • Collaboration with Yong Soon Min on the experimental use of ethnographic data for public arts project in conjunction with "Kimchee Xtravaganza" exhibition at the Korean American Museum. Project utilized commercially made and sold kimchi as a vehicle to present oral histories of Southland Korean Americans. June 1997-January 1998
  • Project director and curator for "ReViewing Our Past: Finding Family Stories" exhibit at the Korean American Museum. Exhibition focused on eight pioneer Korean American families who migrated at the turn of the century. Coordinated collection of family histories, genealogies, cognitive maps, photographs and artifacts. January 1996-June 1996
  • Consultant for "United States of Los Angeles: Korean Americans", a one-hour KCRW program originally broadcast in April 199
