	Northern Plain Area
	The Northern Plain Area is the northern most part of Fremont's extensive land area. During the mid to late 1970's, Fremont attempted to perform a balancing act between allowing increased development while still preserving te principles and concepts of its first planners. The city planner's eventually won and therefore the Northern Plain Area is a largely residential area. The Northern Plain includes the old Patterson ranch and is now the location for new biotech industries.
