Morphology, Distribution, and Habitat (After Mason, 1957 and Hickman, 1993)

The seeds are 0.3-0.6 millimeters, oviod to elliptic, faintly reticulate, and appendages 0 or small. The plant is widely distributed in moist (sometimes saline) open or disturbed places such as along streams or in dried pools throughout California escept in the desert (occasional there) and high mountain regions.
