Morphology, Distribution, and Habitat (After Hickman, 1993)

The fruit is 2-2.5 millimeters, obtusely 2-3 angled, smooth, gray-brown, and the beak is 0.1-0.3 millimeters. The plant is found in marshes, lakes, and streambanks. It is located in California and temperate North America.
